Ditch your open toe and strappy sandals for winter boots! It’s finally time to let go of those last summer days when you would wear strappy sandals. The boots these days are so stylish and tempting and make the prospect of a chilly start particularly appealing.

They are available in a plethora of styles and colours, with and without heels, from thigh high to ankle boots. You just have to find out which shoe tribe you belong to. Finding a perfect pair of shoes is not as much as of a wrench as you might think because there are plenty of options available these days, plus we can attribute some success to Globalization, that has made it easier for us to reach and search for the best. Few weeks back we could see Model Miranda Kerr tweeting that she was searching a perfect pair of boots for her from an e site… (Eh! Globalization has definitely set us a new standard. Before I forget, we are discussing boots not Globalization :D)

Go for oh-so-glamorous and chic look with the befitting shoes for yourself. Find out which shoe tribe you belong to here.

Look incredibly stylish even in winters and don’t let the winter chill seize your charm!

Tiptoe ladies. 🙂

…How about over the knee socks?

Knee high socks are definitely the talk of the town with Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift having adorning this trend since long. These socks look so girls and sweet that they make every girl a little marshmallow of gorgeousness.

Not only do these want me to dive into a bathtub full of candy floss, but also they are a very convenient option to wear during spring time, when the weather is neither below the freezing point and nor too warm! Basically, they make a nice transition from winters to spring.

They best look with shorts, short skirts, skater skirts and dresses. Also, they are the best option to adorn when you aren’t quite ready to step out bare-legged. Team it up with sneakers for a casual day out with friends or heels and wedges for a dinner somewhere out. They are bound to make you look gorgeous anytime!

Styling tip: – If you have been keeping an eye out on patterns of spring, then you should not forget the dainty floral prints. As these socks make a nice transition from winters to spring, adore them with a floral print dress.

Suggestion: – You should be careful about wearing these socks. If your legs are wide and you are your calf part is heavy, make sure, the socks cut at the slimmest part of your legs otherwise they would end up making your legs look more wide visually.

Of course, I adore tights and leggings and would never want to abandon them but this style trend is definitely worth experimenting…

Don’t forget to pen down your views in the comments below! 🙂

Nailing office style: – for men!

My verdict – Avoid the “corporate drone” look…

Blue suits, silk ties and black shoes have become de rigueur office attire, though rarely exciting. Now many offices are following relaxed office code where employees are even allowed to come in Bermudas, chapels and tees. But one should always wear clothes that command respect from the peers and the seniors. Only if your clothes will command respect, you’ll be able to walk with head high up.

Office attire should be such which is just not too “corporate droned” but at the same time not be too casual so that one have ease of movement in the office and at the same time look his best. For that you need not necessarily wear three piece suits. But what is important is that even after the relaxed office code you don’t forget to look presentable. After all, your physical presentation is the manifestation of your professional investment. Clothes are the key indication and reinforcement of our social standing. Therefore, one should be dressed to the nines every day.

To play the part, you’ve got to look the part. I am dedicated to help you get there and upgrade your office look with some of my tips.

Wardrobe essentials –

  • Think about pink!

White is the staple office color. Consider something unusual. Say, pink. Choose a color that is soft rather than sugary and then beef it up with a dark tone necktie in a darker hue, which will add a pop of color, for instance purple, mauve which will compliment the most because both have red in it. But try choosing tie in the same color family. Adding a pop of color is one of the easiest ways to add personality whether its pocket square, stripped socks, contrast sole shoes or a necktie.

  • Bold prints.

Go brash and bold with wider prints like a checkered shirt which I rarely see as an office wear. Make a balsy statement with a bold print shirt and a plain tie which will look equivalently good. Throwing a tie on a random day helps catch your co -workers off-guard and you will be more noticeable and be able to differentiate yourself from the army of anonymous dressed men.

  • Tucked in.

Always keep the damn thing tucked in when in office. It will look visually more appealing to the eyes and give you a serious and a professional look which otherwise might give you a relaxed a laid back look.

  • Tees with text- a big no – no!

Tees with text should not be worn to office. Show some dignity by wearing a shirt suitable for casual business encounters. Find something with a bit of class, like a polo shirt.

A pair of checked trousers looks absolutely fantastic for formal meetings which also set you apart from the crowd who wear plain trousers. Another option is to wear linen pants but cargo trousers are a big no-no for use as office wear because they are too casual. While no one disputes that cargoes are great for weekend, these baggy trousers do not inspire confidence in your peers, seniors and clients when at work. Try corduroy trousers instead which are equally comfortable to wear whole day along.

Howsoever relaxed your office dress may be, stay away from flip flops. Understand that men wear socks and leather shoes to work. For your comfort and convenience you can go for a pair of leather loafers which are just as comfortable as flip flops.

Also the idea of socks with flip-flops is a big no-no! It looks so childish and make the person under dressed.

In the end, dress for the job you want, not the job you have.

I hope I have helped to keep all eyes on you…

Slits- Dare to wear!

The slit skirt and dress has always been a common detail on red carpet gowns. But now this trend is invading into cocktails and also day wears. The dresses with a teeny – weeny slit can even be worn to office or other formal gatherings which will not only look elegant, but also allow you to move.  If you are the one who keeps themselves updated on recent fashion fads and trends, it wouldn’t be a surprise for you to know that these dresses are enjoying oodles of popularity. Though it has been in trend for quite some time now, but it has chartered its way up to large scale likeability. Today I was feeling inspired to write something on slit skirts and nevertheless, I am also looking forward to buy one!

Slit dresses come in plethora of lengths and styles, be in midis, minis, skirts or maxi dresses. Slits, be it big or small look best in maxi dresses which creates a high dramatic visual effect, perfect for wearing it anywhere to be the cynosure of everyone eyes. Maxi dresses with a slit come in various fabrics like airy and flowing ones, which are chiffon, crepe, georgette, polyester which highlights your movements and give a sensuous effect and other heavy and luxurious fabrics like silk, lace etc which make you feel royal and like a heavily adorned princess.

It can be a basic black maxi that parts to offer a peek of your stunning long legs or a combination of sheer with an underskirt that cuts just at the right pace to give you that drop dead gorgeous look.

Accessorizing with the slits

It is very important for you to wear the right accessories which complement the slits. However, decking yourself too much can be a spoiler with your slits. So, avoid too many accessories. Rather, just settle for any statement piece and let your dress be in the limelight and take the scene. Don’t let your jewels overpower your attire. Moreover, if your dress is already richly printed or exotically sequined, minimal accessorising is best because rich prints add oodles of glamour to the already super sizzling and sexy slit dress.

Shoe them right

Just pair them with the right shoes to get that look and walk with chutzpah. You can use strappy sandals or gladiators for the casual day time shopping look or bring those high heeled stilettos out for the evening prom or party look.

In the end, perhaps, slit dresses are the best way to reveal your toned legs and make a fashion statement. Slits are sure to make you look no less than a diva!

I am surely going to buy mine! What about you???

Go and be a show stealer! 🙂
