Valentine day quirky nail art

Hey folks,

Happy valentine day to you all. Hope everyone is making the best of their day out there!

Girls don’t pass any opportunity to do a festive nail art, so don’t let this time be any different. I thought even I shouldn’t pass this opportunity to deck up my nails for the valentine day. So I did up this quirky nail art which is actually setting my pulse high to get into valentine mode!

Normally I like my nails just painted plane without any art. Though, this trial was not bad at all! Hope you all liked them too. Enjoy your day and don’t forget to paint your nails! 🙂

Fancy up your topknot bun!

These days everyone’s wearing topknots…your tresses piled up expertly on top! Look to celebs for inspo. Gone are the days when due to the holy heat and steaming hot whether people used to tie up their hair. Everyone is sporting a top bun here and then irrespective of the occasion or season. The entire fashion bandwagon has been following and sporting this look since a long time. But this juncture what my concern is, to give a twist to a normal topknot by adding glitz to your bun instead of sloppily throwing your hair into it.

Take the trend to a new level by just wrapping a bandana around your top bun or by braiding a scarf in your hair and tying them in a bun. The market in these times is full of hair accessories…be it a fancy bobby bin, attractive hair bands or pretty hair bows. Go grab one now or take that scarf out lying in a dingy corner of your cupboard which is not being used since some time and make some use out of it to turn heads.

So, no more a top bun will be reserved for days spent in sweatpants in front of TV. From classy and sleek to casual and messy, this hairdo is here to stay if accessorised playfully.

You’ll definitely grab all eyeballs with your fancied up version of topknot-yippee!

Jean jackets to rock any style, anywhere!

As we all are aware, autumn is more of a transitional season with winters soon approaching and we experiencing showers now and then. It’s a difficult season in which we are in dilemma with regards to our clothing. Here, denim jackets come to our rescue! By just throwing the denim jackets on our summer clothes we can take our outfit up by notches.

Most of the fashion trends have a short shelf life; as in they come in trend for a short duration and soon become a fashion passé. But a denim jacket is something which is evergreen and will always be in vogue for some or the other reason because of the versatile ways to adorn it.

From day to night, look stunning in this classic and timeless piece that goes with anything and everything.

Miranda Kerr proves that denim jacket and maxis go together like peas and carrots

Skirts with denim jackets makes the outfit look totally chic and classy and even work for a date night!

Denim jackets look equally trendy and classy with dark coloured and printed trousers. Bold colours, graphics and prints and jean jackets go hand in hand!

All these things makes a denim jacket a staple in everyone’s closet!

My verdict- Avoid the denim on denim drone look. A denim jacket with the jeans is a big fashion disaster lest you want yourself to be dripping in denim.

Stay well, stay stylish! 🙂

Autumn style statement….quintessential slender wedges

They are as sexy as stilettos –but provide better balance. They are none other than slender wedges. Go incredibly stylish in these quirky heels which are less chunky than the classic wedges and more elite and distinctive.

As cute as the shoes are, the more bearable to keep them on feet they should be. But in reality the more sexier the heel seems to be, the more the pain-o-meter is! The slender wedges can actually take some of the stress off your ankles and give your toes more wiggle room.

The slender version of the wedges makes your legs appear long and lean which obviously is an advantage for girls/ladies with short height. The wedge shoes, by nature are very stylish, fashionable and cosmopolitan. One can up their fashion quotient by just choosing to wear them.

They can be worn with almost any outfit; skirts, dresses, trousers, et all. But just be sure to balance everything while you dress up. One shouldn’t look dressed up over the top; shoes shouldn’t overwhelm you or your dress.

It is as clear as black and white to me that slender wedges are here to rock! So what are you waiting for? Go grab a pair or flaunt if you already have one 🙂

Nailing office style: – for men!

16-1

My verdict – Avoid the “corporate drone” look…

Blue suits, silk ties and black shoes have become de rigueur office attire, though rarely exciting. Now many offices are following relaxed office code where employees are even allowed to come in Bermudas, chapels and tees. But one should always wear clothes that command respect from the peers and the seniors. Only if your clothes will command respect, you’ll be able to walk with head high up.

Office attire should be such which is just not too “corporate droned” but at the same time not be too casual so that one have ease of movement in the office and at the same time look his best. For that you need not necessarily wear three piece suits. But what is important is that even after the relaxed office code you don’t forget to look presentable. After all, your physical presentation is the manifestation of your professional investment. Clothes are the key indication and reinforcement of our social standing. Therefore, one should be dressed to the nines every day.

To play the part, you’ve got to look the part. I am dedicated to help you get there and upgrade your office look with some of my tips.

Wardrobe essentials –

Shirts

  • Think about pink!

White is the staple office color. Consider something unusual. Say, pink. Choose a color that is soft rather than sugary and then beef it up with a dark tone necktie in a darker hue, which will add a pop of color, for instance purple, mauve which will compliment the most because both have red in it. But try choosing tie in the same color family. Adding a pop of color is one of the easiest ways to add personality whether its pocket square, stripped socks, contrast sole shoes or a necktie.

  • Bold prints.

Go brash and bold with wider prints like a checkered shirt which I rarely see as an office wear. Make a balsy statement with a bold print shirt and a plain tie which will look equivalently good. Throwing a tie on a random day helps catch your co -workers off-guard and you will be more noticeable and be able to differentiate yourself from the army of anonymous dressed men.

  • Tucked in.

Always keep the damn thing tucked in when in office. It will look visually more appealing to the eyes and give you a serious and a professional look which otherwise might give you a relaxed a laid back look.

  • Tees with text- a big no – no!

Tees with text should not be worn to office. Show some dignity by wearing a shirt suitable for casual business encounters. Find something with a bit of class, like a polo shirt.

Trousers

A pair of checked trousers looks absolutely fantastic for formal meetings which also set you apart from the crowd who wear plain trousers. Another option is to wear linen pants but cargo trousers are a big no-no for use as office wear because they are too casual. While no one disputes that cargoes are great for weekend, these baggy trousers do not inspire confidence in your peers, seniors and clients when at work. Try corduroy trousers instead which are equally comfortable to wear whole day along.

Shoes

Howsoever relaxed your office dress may be, stay away from flip flops. Understand that men wear socks and leather shoes to work. For your comfort and convenience you can go for a pair of leather loafers which are just as comfortable as flip flops.

Also the idea of socks with flip-flops is a big no-no! It looks so childish and make the person under dressed.

In the end, dress for the job you want, not the job you have.

I hope I have helped to keep all eyes on you…

To keep your office attire upgraded, keep all eyes on me!
